A Time Existing from Ago on Flickr.

A dazzling spin and rush of wind blows through these grassy fields from the hills. Through the fits she stands still, filled with determination and unbroken focus. Her eyes, locked, fiercely into lens is taken by a sudden, smooth, mechanical click. She is caught through the quick motion of the shutter, searing the light from this moment itself; into this film, forever locked and altered, resides a witness from a time existing from ago.

A field of yellow oats beckons; a dash through the tall grass, wind blowing through air, an instance of zest, this moment forever burned into film.

Captured on a sunny afternoon in Fremont, California. Alternating between the Mamiya C330/Fomapan 100 and the Leica M6TTL/Kodak Gold, I sought to capture the spirit of a young Spring and the energy it instills within us.

An evening snap with the Zenit 12SD Soviet SLR Camera. These cameras were produced from 1983 to 1994 and this particular model was the domestic version released to the Soviet population.
While a good camera, there are some quirks, including possible light leaks from not capping the lens while rewinding the role (the shutter intermittently opens) and the lug straps being in the front of the camera (resulting in off-balanced carrying and having the metal flash contacts rub against your side).
Fun and funky, complete with a cloth shutter.

In the cold of winter, we lay under the comfort of soft quilts and a wool blanket. I quickly reach over to my camera and steal this glance moments before the light is shut out.
